Meet Justin "JD" Taggart — Builder & Remodeler Driven by Detail
Taggart Construction was founded in 2021 by Justin “JD” Taggart, who brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. JD started working on construction projects during high school summers and continued through college and beyond, gaining valuable skills in framing, siding, drywall, concrete, and custom finishes.
With a bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management, JD combines formal training with real-world know-how. His approach is built on high standards, a DIY mindset, and clear, upfront communication based on honest construction knowledge.
For JD, every project is about doing the job right — no shortcuts, no surprises. He stays involved throughout, making sure your home improves exactly how you envisioned it, with clear communication every step of the way.

After college, I started picking up a lot of side jobs. As college gave a well-rounded what to do, it lacked on-the-job experience. From building a custom oak bar to finishing basements to drywall repair, I learned how to manage small and large jobs. I did the majority of the work myself, so I knew what tools were needed. I read manufacturer specifications on how to do the jobs right. This gave a better understanding of why and when contractors will try to cut corners.
