Hi, I’m Justin (JD) Taggart, owner of Taggart Inspections, and here is a bit about me. Starting with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management gave me a great understanding of the different parts of construction. Some of the formal education subjects included: metal, concrete, electrical, plumbing, framing, surveying, safety, engineering, drafting, scheduling, estimating, and more. This helped give a well-rounded view of the science of the different construction systems. For instance when to use proper bracing or what temperatures are needed for concrete to properly cure.
After college, I started picking up a lot of side jobs. As college gave a well-rounded what to do, it lacked on-the-job experience. From building a custom oak bar to finishing basements to drywall repair, I learned how to manage small and large jobs. I did the majority of the work myself, so I knew what tools were needed. I read manufacturer specifications on how to do the jobs right. This gave a better understanding of why and when contractors will try to cut corners.
I completed roofs, drywall, remodels, renovation, concrete, custom furniture, plumbing, electrical, siding, stairs, windows, doors, locks, blinds, carpet, vinyl flooring, soffits, gutters, decks, porches, landscaping, concrete resurfacing, and more.
